Sales Support Specialist

Job Position: Sales Support Specialist

DEPARTMENT: SALES

Wages: Exempt | Employment Status: Full-time | Reports to VP of Sales

Manages documents and deliverables for all current and prospective customer interactions with Field Sales Reps. Provides support during various phases of the sales cycle, including but not limited to; sales quoting calculations, purchase orders, call summaries, corrective actions (CAR’s), summation documentation, follow up actions and acting as the liaison between the customer and all internal departments. Project management for the onboarding of new customers and parts, to include the coordination between Field Sales Reps, the Operations Department and external customers. Highly interactive role throughout the entire order process, both internally with technical and operational staff, and externally, with customers and Field Sales Reps.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills

  • Prepare customer quote packages and cost calculations for review
  • Prepare formal quotes for Field Sales Reps
  • Ensure all prices quoted remain within established organizational guidelines
  • Enter opportunities and activities into CRM
  • Act as liaison between all internal departments, such as Sales, Engineering,
  • Production Scheduling, Quality and Operations
  • Track and provide order statuses to customers
  • Sales order entry of customer purchase orders
  • Track and provide updates to customers on all quality issues
  • Ensure all critical customer specifications are met via contract review process for all customer orders that are received
  • Set-up new customers in ERP and CRM systems
  • Set-up new products in ERP and CRM systems, ensuring all specifications are communicated internally to Operations, Accounting and Quality departments
  • Follow up on all open customer deliverables
  • Document all applicable customer system processes, while obtaining monthly scorecard results and customer demand forecasts
  • Create and provide reports to VP of Sales and Marketing
  • Assist with the coordination of all customer visits, meetings, and project deliverables

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years in related field
  • Proficient PC Skills – Internet, MS Office Suite (proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint), computer and data entry within a CRM system
  • Proven understanding of sales and marketing principals
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, machining, and sales. Desired but not requires: (Product Knowledge within “Casting” industries)
  • Must be familiar with finance, strategic selling and time management
  • Possess strong communications skills, with prior experience in effectively seeking out opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to institute targeted sales strategies with tactical execution
  • Demonstrated ability to be an affective communicator with logical, organized and tactical verbal, written, listening, presentation skill, and Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to interact with internal and external contacts in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to read and write in English and possess good writing skills
  • MMust have reliable attendance, willing to flexible hours, & work well with others
