Quality Compliance Specialist

Job Position: Quality Compliance Engineer

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY

Wages: Full-time | Classification: A/B/C | Shift: All | Reports to Technical Quality Manager

Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills

Customer Quality

  • Finding the root cause of quality issues
  • Working on product quality improvements through preventive and corrective actions

Manufacturing Quality

  • Acting as customer advocate for internal manufacturing sites regarding change management, discrepant material, and product qualifications
  • Overseeing and performing quality audit activities
  • Giving expert knowledge, with the help of quality tools and methods, to help ensure quality of manufactured products

New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality

  • Driving quality into product development activities
  • Helping ensure that new product releases meet customer and standards requirements
  • Customer Failure Analysis requests
  • FMEA database (Failure Mode Effects Analysis
  • Internal 8D reports
  • PPAP – Production Part Approval Process
  • Part submission warrants
  • First article submissions
  • USMS/MRB (Unified Scrap Management System / Material Review Board)
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Gage tracking system, and quality system compliance within the manufacturing processes
  • Oversite and creation of Inspection test plans against the customer purchase order specification requirements. Ensuring procedures and processes are aligned and in sync with customer expectations.

Entry Level Qualifications and Requirements

  • Basic math skills
  • 1+ years of experience in the field or related area
  • Ability to maintain a good working environment with management and fellow workers·      
  • Must have the ability to work at heights, and able to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)
  • Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
  • Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
  • Must perform other duties as assigned
