Classification Level A

• Encompasses all duties, responsibilities, and skills of B & C levels
• Proficient at all types of plant electrical systems, sources, feeders, branch circuits and be able to isolate or shut off and make safe repairs without affecting production in an adverse way
• Can diagnose motor control circuits, diagnose, repair, and replace or design plant control circuits and equipment
• Proficient in the use of tools and measuring devices common to Maintenance
• Display good organizational skills, able to organize work projects and help direct project repairs
• Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
• Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality
• Study blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery
• Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary
• The ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain the all plant equipment
• Able to independently train others within this position on all classifications listed below

Classification Level B

• Encompasses all duties, responsibilities, and skills of C level
• Knowledge of all types of plant electrical systems, sources, feeder, branch circuits and be able to isolate or shut off and make safe repairs without affecting production in an adverse way
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics associated with plant equipment
• Can troubleshoot motor control circuits, diagnose, repair, and replace plant control circuits and equipment
• Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment
• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices
• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems
• Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality
• The ability to troubleshoot, repair, and most plant equipment

Classification Level C

• Able to diagnose problems with feeder and branch circuits
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical panels
• Able to help mechanics troubleshoot faulty mechanical operations ad make the necessary repairs
• Working knowledge in the use of tools and measuring devices common to the Maintenance
• Capable of performing preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
• Experience in the operating mobile equipment such as forklift and man lift
• Proficient in all L.O.T.O. safety methods and procedures
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
• Record repairs and maintenance performed
• Record parts and materials used
• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators
