Job Position: HR Recruiting Specialist

DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES

Wages: Hourly | Shift: All | Reports to Foundry Manager

The HR Recruiting Specialist is under general supervision from the HR Manager and HR Generalist. This position will play a vital role in supporting the company’s staffing and retention needs. Excellent customer service focus, creative and innovative problem-solving, stellar communication skills, and a high degree of flexibility are keys to success in this role. Ideal candidate will be result-driven and have a high sense of urgency. This position will start as a temporary position and has the opportunity to become permanent.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills

  • Provides support in functional areas of a human resources department, which will primarily involve all aspects of recruiting and onboarding.
  • Review application/resumes; screen candidates facilitate their face-to-face interview from beginning to end; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant’s qualifications for open positions
  • Develop and place recruitment ads with appropriate media. Continually evaluate the placement options and effectiveness
  • Assist and eventually take over the orientation process including walking new hires through paperwork, and coordinate with the Safety
  • Coordinator to get them through safety training.
  • Improve/Design new employee orientations and onboarding programs to ensure good employee engagement
  • Accurately and obsessively maintain records in our Applicant Tracking spreadsheet.
  • Have general understanding of legal and regulatory factors in regards to recruiting and interviewing/narrowing down applicants
  • Assists in the collection of employee information for reports and statistical research.
  • Maintains a high level of integrity and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all employees in the company
  • Visibility – be highly visible and accessible to all employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Entry Level Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in a recruiting-related role or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong customer service
  • Bilingual Skills a Plus
  • Ability to work independently, but a strong effective team player mentality is a must.
  • Commitment to delivering results; be solutions-oriented; have good organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Must have basic math skills. Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours.
  • Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
