Accounting Clerk

Job Position: Accounting Clerk

DEPARTMENT: FINANCE

Wages: Non-Exempt | Employment Status: Full-time | Reports to VP of Finance and Accounting

Responsible for financial record keeping and administrative support using specialized ledgers, accounting software and MS Office to record and process expenditures, receipts, production and other transactions that support the organization in various tasks.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting department and other areas as directed
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Daily data entry of key of financial and production transactions
  • Provide assistance and support to leadership team
  • Maintain, research and track various documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Accounting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, Work and PowerPoint), databases and accounting software
  • High attention to detail and high levels of accuracy required
  • Good organization skills
  • Willingness to learn, assist others, work with a team and a “can-do” attitude required
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively and ask questions when needed
