Maintaining industry standards and surpassing them every day is one way we show that we value our customers and their loyalty.

In addition to being PED certified and holding both ISO 9001:2008 and The American Iron and Steel (AIS) Certification, Omaha Steel has implemented these quality control methods and processes:

  • Gage testing traceable to the National Bureau of Standards
  • Computer maintenance of calibration inventory and data
  • Computer maintenance of all process control sheets; by individual customer and part number
  • Randomized quality control audits on internal plant operations
  • Complete sampling program, ensuring parts meet customer requirements; such as dimensional, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, metallurgical (chemical and physical), jominy, Charpy, radiographic, etc.
  • Maintenance and follow-up of all engineering changes received through sales
