Omaha Steel takes the initiative when it comes to obtaining and maintaining quality benchmarks valued by our customers. And we seek daily to supersede those requirements. Omaha Steel consistently ensures the quality of our castings stay high and that we over-deliver for our clients.

A Higher Standard of Performance

And to that end, we’ve put in place the methods and processes to ensure we instill that trust and offer a surprising level of quality. Maintaining industry standards and surpassing them every day is one way we show that we value our customers and their loyalty.

In addition to being PED certified and holding both ISO 9001 and The American Iron and Steel (AIS) Certification, Omaha Steel has implemented these quality control methods and processes:

  • Gage testing traceable to the National Bureau of Standards
  • Computer maintenance of calibration inventory and data
  • Computer maintenance of all process control sheets; by individual customer and part number
  • Randomized quality control audits on internal plant operations
  • Complete sampling program, ensuring parts meet customer requirements; such as dimensional, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, metallurgical (chemical and physical), jominy, Charpy, radiographic, etc.
  • Maintenance and follow-up of all engineering changes received through sales

ISO 9001
Omaha Steel meets the steel industry standard of ISO 9001certification. The ISO 9001 standard is recognized internationally, and the management system applies to the manufacture of steel and alloy-steel castings. ISO 9001 includes compliance with EU Pressure Equipment Directive, Annex I, Paragraph 4.3.
