Our inspection teams utilize all nondestructive inspection techniques, including magnetic particle testing (dry powder method or fluorescent wet method), liquid penetrant testing, visual inspection using SCRATA plates, and X-ray. Our team members are qualified to ASNT-TC-1A Level II and NAS 410 to ensure your castings meet the quality levels you demand.
Our welders are all qualified to ASME Section IX, and PED for WCB and CF8M. If your pressure boundary parts are being assembled and shipped into the EU, Omaha Steel has the qualified personnel and accreditations to meet your needs. Our heat treat furnaces are certified to meet your needs and comply with AMS 2750E, API 6A, Mil-Std. 1864D. We have developed a furnace that allows your low-alloy steels to be in the quench bath within 15 seconds and in less than 60 seconds for your high-alloy stainless alloys.
